I swear that crazy weather likes to follow me around! This Piney River Ranch wedding was unique in so many ways but it was the craziest weather that I have experienced at a wedding. It was a gorgeous day until right before the ceremony. A fire had started nearby and moments before the bride walked down the aisle it began to rain ash on the guests, I could see it falling on the guy’s sports coats. The sky took on a strange orange hue as the mountains became hard to see. It didn’t stop this couple for a second! They were completely unphased and totally focused on each other. Shortly after the ceremony as we headed out to take portraits, it began to rain pretty hard. The couple ran for cover with smiles on their faces, ready to dance the night away.
The thing I will never forget about this Piney River Ranch wedding is the handmade, custom arch and the tropical decor. Rachel and Chris are both the most talented designers and craftspeople. I’m also really in love with the gold dinnerware. The impromptu game of “tie” limbo was pretty hilarious and the fact that the bride was almost the winner, in her dress no less, is fantastic.
Enjoy,
xoxo Daylene
ABOUT THE COUPLE!
Rachel: Dog lover, Cat lover, Realtor, Interior Designer, Home Remodel Expert
Chris: Dog Lover, Cat Lover, Home Remodel Expert, Graphic Designer
TOGETHER: One of the reasons I knew that these two were one of my couples was that we met for their first interview at a local Denver brewery, one of the small unknown ones. The conversation was easy and there were laughs had by all. Not only did we share a love for design and art but also for adventure. For their engagement session they chose to go to Crested Butte and roll around in wildflowers, it rained that day and we still kept shooting. When you know, you know.
