Twin Lakes Elopement In The Rain

Anna and Crystal came all the way from Florida to get married in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Colorado gave them a chilly welcome! This was a very unique Twin Lakes elopement in the rain.

Crystal’s gown was absolutely to die for but definitely not going to keep her warm in a torrential downpour. These two were so excited to get married that a downpour was not going to stop them. They embraced the cold and wet and got married anyway. I had three layers of clothing on and I was soaked to the bone! It’s definitely a wedding day that none of us will forget.

Even though they couldn’t see the gorgeous 14 thousand foot peaks they came to get married under, the photos turned out fantastic. Sometimes weather can make for extremely unique images. I love the unique style that they both brought to their wedding, including the bright blue bouquet.

Eloping at Twin Lakes is a fantastic idea but you do need to plan for weather as you are high in the mountains and the weather can change rapidly from sun to wind to rain or snow.
