Elopements are my absolute favorite, that’s no secret and this was no exception. I recently had the pleasure of photographing an elopement at Mt. Princeton in Colorado. It was nothing short of magical.
As a Mount Princeton Elopement Photographer, I am used to dealing with the unpredictable weather patterns that Colorado has to offer, especially in the springtime. But I was willing to take on any challenge to capture these two lovebirds’ special day.
The couple had traveled all the way from the midwest to elope at Mt. Princeton, where they had gotten engaged while hiking. The location was breathtaking. With scenic views of the mountains and the blue sky complementing each other perfectly.

As we started the shoot, the couple’s excitement and high spirits were infectious, and I found myself getting into the spirit of things, enjoying the moment as well. I could tell how much they loved each other, and I made it my mission to capture their love story in the photographs.
As a photographer, it’s essential to have a clear thought process and plan of action to make the shoot go smoothly, but this particular session felt different. I was able to go with the flow and let their love dictate the direction of the shoot.
We faced several challenges during the shoot, including unexpected gusts of wind and rain. However, the couple remained upbeat, and despite the elements, we were able to capture some stunning shots.
One of my favorite moments from the shoot was when the bride’s veil flew off in the wind. It was a beautiful, spontaneous moment that showcased the power of nature and added an ethereal effect to the photos.
Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed capturing this couple’s love story. If you’re considering eloping in Colorado, I highly recommend Mt. Princeton as a location. As a Mount Princeton Elopement Photographer, I know just how to capture the magic of this stunning location while ensuring the entire process is stress-free and enjoyable for you.
