Maui Hawaii Elopement

Oh my God! I can’t tell you how many times I have submitted to Green Wedding Shoes and been turned down. This was a dream come true and I’m so excited that I get to share this Maui Hawaii Elopement with you.

As I was blogging about this wedding I was flooded with great memories. This was a really special day and I was so lucky to be there. Kirsten and Jeremy were absolutely my kind of couple, they were classy and well planned but also so full of life and fun and not worried about rain and mud.

The Wedding Day

The morning started with a normal drizzly rain and it didn’t let up. So, we all just grabbed some umbrellas and rolled with it. Kirsten changed into her dress on the trail and continued hiking up to the waterfall. The rain didn’t let up and after the ceremony, it was coming down pretty hard. A lady on an ATV came up the trail to rescue us saying that we were in danger. As soon as we crossed the creek a torrential flash flood came down the river, it looked just like in the movies, it was terrifying, and had it not been for this lady we would have been in big trouble.

We were supposed to have to reception on a catamaran on the ocean and I was really looking forward to it. Due to high winds and rain, it got canceled and we had to pivot and change plans. Kirsten was freezing cold and wet and changed at the restaurant, but always a smile on her face.

We topped the day off with jumping in the ocean as a collective group. I love this day and this couple. Thank you for the chance to witness all this.
