This Chatfield Botanic Gardens Wedding is so special to me, mostly because it was one of my best friends in the whole world and one of my old roomates. To round out friends weddings, this one takes the cake. Lauren was the last of our roomate group to get married and I got to photograph every on of the girls weddings. I had been waiting for this day for a long time.
Lauren got the absolute best guy she could have asked for by waiting for her perfect person. We are so happy for her that she has this incredible love in her life. I mean look at his face as she comes down the isle, I just can’t, it makes me cry every time.
Another reason I love this wedding is because Lauren is such a talented designer and the best diy-er. She pretty much did this entire wedding by herself. She and Erland collected drift wood from all over the state for their tabels, she made all her own signs, she made the seating chat, the table numbers, the invitations, she thrifted all the decorations off of other brides and she made it into this magical fall tablescape. It was so romantic to sit outside under the stringlights and have dinner.
Lastly I can’t not tell you about the buttersquash risotto that we had for dinner because Lauren used to cooked that for us when we lived together and it was the perfect tough to this wedding.
I love you Lauren and I am so happy you found Erland and that we get to have him in our life too.
